Report Cards

Student performance is evaluated based on California State Common Core Standards using traditional letter grades.  Report cards will be sent home at the end of each trimester throughout the school year.  If a student is not meeting grade level standards, poor progress reports will be sent home at the half way mark for each trimester.


Students in grades 2 or 3 who are earning an achievement mark of “D” or “F” on their report card in Reading are at risk of being retained in their present grade.  Students in grades 4 and 5 receiving an overall achievement mark of a “D” or “F” in reading, languages arts and/or mathematics are at risk of being retained in their present grade.  Students may only be retained once in the same grade or during their elementary education. 


If you have concerns regarding your child’s progress in school, please make an appointment to discuss the situation with the classroom teacher as soon as possible.  You do not have to wait until report card time.  The teacher may recommend that an SST Meeting (Student Study Team) be held to discuss your child’s academic performance.  If your child’s academic concerns do not improve with the implementation of academic interventions, and or additional academic assistance, please contact an administrator as soon as possible for additional assistance.
