For student safety, students will be released only to adults authorized to pick the student up on the student’s emergency card, unless prior arrangements have been made in person directly with office personnel.  Authorized adults must show photo identification to office personnel when picking up a student before regular dismissal.  Students will not be released to anyone who is NOT on the emergency card, unless the office receives prior parent consent.  PLEASE KEEP THE INFORMATION ON THE EMERGENCY CARD CURRENT.  Please bring photo identification whenever picking up your child.

School Dismissal: 1st through 3rd grade students are dismissed at 2:04 on regular school days.  4th and 5th grade students are dismissed at 2:06.  Minimum day dismissal is 1:01 p.m. for all grades.  First grade and kindergarten students are NOT allowed to walk home alone.  All parents/guardians must wait outside for students.  If you have a meeting with a teacher after school, please check in with the office and follow our regular visitor procedures.

After 4pm the front doors will be locked.  Think Together pick-up will be located in W-1.

Students will either be along the walk way near the front of the school entrance, or under the trees near the front of the school entrance.  Students will NOT be dismissed from their classrooms with the exception of rooms W1, W2, W3, and during inclement weather.

Safety is a top priority.  Please remember to discuss safety procedures with your student if he/she has been granted permission to walk.  Students must leave campus when school is dismissed.  Students walking home must go directly homeStudents must use the crosswalk, where available.  If one is not available, please instruct him/her to cross at a corner only after checking for traffic in both directions multiple times.

Inclement Weather: In the event of rain or extreme weather conditions, students will follow a different dismissal procedure.  During arrival on inclement weather days, students will report to and remain in the cafeteria.  Teachers will pick students up from the cafeteria at 7:45 a.m. to go to class.  On inclement weather days, parents will not be allowed to remain in the cafeteria with their child.

During dismissal on inclement weather days, the driveway gates will remain open for parents to drive in.  Students who have permission to walk will be dismissed directly from the classroom.  Students who do not walk will need to be picked up from the classrooms listed below until 2:26 p.m.  After 2:26 p.m., the students can be picked up from the hallway outside the front office.  Students will be released to parents from classrooms with the doors leading to the outside.  No students will be released from within the Dollahan hallways unless they are going to the THINK Together after school program.
