Gifted and Talented Education

The GATE program is designed to meet the individual academic needs of the GATE identified students by expanding the depth and complexity of the core program.  All students in 2nd grade are given a test to identify potential giftedness.  Students in grades 3 through 5 may be recommended for GATE testing by either their parent or teacher.  Students can only be tested once every 24 months.  Parent permission is required to test any child for GATE identification.
